The park, which is named after the statue of the writer and playwright van den Vondel placed there, is visited by about 10 million people annually. The grass is used as sports field and the paths as bike paths. Therefore, its renovation had to be implemented which took almost 10 years to intensify the monumental value of the park and also to improve the park's durability. Several buildings are scattered over the park: A bandstand from 1987, the 'Beer House Vondel' and a pavilion from 1878.
Der Park, der nach der in ihm aufgestellten Statue des Schriftstellers und Dramatikers van den Vondel benannt ist, wird von etwa 10 Millionen Menschen jährlich besucht. Der Grünflächen werden als Sportplatz und die Pfade als Radwege verwendet. Deshalb war auch eine Renovierung notwendig, die fast 10 Jahren dauerte, um die Bedeutung des Parks als Monument zu verstärken und auch seine Haltbarkeit zu verbessern. Mehrere Gebäude sind im Park verstreut: Ein Musikpavillon von 1987, das "Bierhaus Vondel' und ein weiterer Pavillon von 1878.
