The porticus of the entrance, but also many other architectural elements of this Palace in Seyun are reminiscent of architecture of the second half of the 19. century AD. At that time no Europeans came into the Wadi Hadramaut. The phenomenon can be explained by unemployed Yemenites going to Java and learning from Dutch colonial architecture. When these Yemenites came back they built palaces and other structures in the style of Europeans architecture. A double cultural transfer from Holland to Java and further on to Yemen was leading this kind of architecture into the Wadi Hadramaut.
