After so many dizzying impressions the longing for peace and nature is growing. Till recently under the spell of glittering aluminium and glass worlds, you find yourself suddenly (after only an hour's drive) in the tranquility of a desert oasis. Hatta forms a small enclave at the foot of the mighty Hajar Mountains in the far east of the United Arab Emirates. You can reach this oasis, 1000 m above sea level and with a population of 10,000 only via the territory of the Emirate of Sharjah and Oman. Nevertheless, it is part of of Dubai.
Nach so vielen schwindelerregenden Eindrücken wächst wieder einmal die Sehnsucht nach Ruhe und Natur. Gerade noch im Bann der glitzernden Aluminium- und Glaswelten, findet man sich nach nur einer Stunde Autofahrt plötzlich in der Beschaulichkeit einer Wüstenoase wider. Hatta bildet eine kleine Enklave am Fuße des mächtigen Hajar-Gebirges ganz im Osten der Vereinigten Arabischen Emirate. Man erreicht die 1000m hoch gelegene Oase mit ihren 10.000 Einwohnern nur über das Staatsgebiet des Emirats Sharjah und des Oman. Trotzdem gehört sie zu Dubai.
