Gleich nebenan entführt ein Bauwerk namens 'Emanu-El Temple' gar in himmlische Sphären. Es handelt sich um eine der größten Synagogen unseres Planeten mit Sitzplätzen für 2500 Gläubige. Im Zentrum der Ostwand beherrscht ein exakt nach Jerusalem ausgerichteter Thora-Schrein die Szene. Er beherbergt die Thorarollen der Synagoge, handgeschriebene Blätter aus Pergament, die den hebräischen Text der fünf Bücher Mose enthalten.
Right next door, a building called 'Temple Emanu-El' takes you into heavenlies. It is one of the largest synagogues of our planet seating 2500 faithful. A Torah Shrine, exactly facing Jerusalem, dominates the centre of the east wall. It houses the Torah scrolls of the synagogue, handwritten sheets of parchment containing the Hebrew text of the Law.
